Our standards

Members of our cooperative hold relevant accreditations for energy efficiency renovations.

The qualifications our advisors hold:

Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination
Your Ecofurb Coordinator will hold the Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination, which means that they are trained to manage technical risks of retrofit projects.

Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment
Your Ecofurb Coordinator will often work with an Assessor. They will be trained as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) and hold the Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment.

The standards relevant to contractors:

MCS certification
MCS creates standards for the certification of products, installers and their installations that enable the production of electricity and heat from renewable sources. All the contractors we refer to hold this.

TrustMark registeration
Trustmark is a government-endorsed scheme, registering contractors carrying out works in or around your home. Most of the contractors we refer to are registered.

BSI PAS 2030:2019 standard
British Standards Institution (BSI) is the national standards body. They issue the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 2030:2019 which is a standard for contractors carrying out energy efficiency works for homes.

BSI PAS 2035 framework
BSI PAS 2035 is a framework for retrofit projects that is often required to access grant money.
